The HIPAA Privacy Rule grants our patients certain rights.
First, they have the right to know how we will use their health information. So we prepare
and distribute a Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) that explains what health information we
keep, how we use it, and what rights they have to see it, amend it, and control how we use or disclose it.
This NPP is given to new patients or health plan members and may be available on our website. Any patient may ask to receive a printed copy.
It may be updated from time to time, and we are bound by what it says.
